Young Adventures
Dip Your Toes into Camp
Falcon’s Young Adventure Program is designed to work within our traditional camp, specifically for our younger, first time campers. We welcome campers ages 6-10 for one week and integrate them into our regular two week program. They live with our Blue Jays and Robins (the youngest boys and girls units), travel with them to activities, eat meals together, and so on. Their cabins have a camper to staff ratio of two-to-one, giving staff members enough time with each camper to ask the parental questions like, “Did you use toothpaste when you brushed your teeth?” and “Other than cheese, what are you eating for dinner?” We are a little more hands-on with this group in terms of introducing them to all the activities and emboldening them to try different things, while also encouraging their independence and decision making.
The main difference between the Young Adventure Program and a two week session of Traditional Camp is just that: time. If you are not sure that your first time camper is ready to be away for two weeks (or you aren’t sure that you are ready for them to be away!) this is the perfect program for your family. We have many campers who start in the Young Adventures program, as well as campers who begin as first-timers in Traditional Camp. You can’t go wrong either way!
Parents and campers alike love the Falcon Camp experience. Check out our testimonials to see what they have to say about their summers with us.
