Daily Schedule
Learn more about our daily schedule
At camp, there is a lot to do every day–and also a lot of time for making friends, hanging out, and learning new skills, from canoeing to problem-solving, to social-emotional. Our day includes 4 activity periods featuring 12 activities, 3 meals, 1 rest hour, 1 evening activity, 1 snack. There are also countless minutes to form bonds with counselors and campers, increase one’s independence and decision-making skills, and learn new things! See below for a detailed schedule of how the day works. Learn more about the different activities offered at Falcon Camp.
Choose Your Own Adventure
At Falcon, we don’t believe you should be stuck doing something you hate. Because of that, we’ve designed our schedule to have a lot of choices built in. Every day, you choose what activities you go to for each of the four activity periods, as well as a few special “floating” activities. For example: Woodslore, Riding, Crafts, or WRC as we call it. Woodslore is a nature study activity. Here you learn firebuilding, plant identification, outdoor cooking, and a whole lot more. Riding is horseback riding and horsemanship, learning the parts of a horse, parts of a saddle, how to tack up a horse, and more. Crafts is exactly what it sounds like! Tie dye, woodworking, watercolors…you name it. Everyday, when your unit has WRC, you can choose which of those three activities to go to. You don’t sign up in advance, you don’t have to go to the same one all week. Maybe on Monday you’ll try Woodslore because your best friend in the cabin says it is great. Tuesday is your day to ride, so of course you are going to do that! And Wednesday is tie dye day, so definitely don’t miss that! The choice is yours.

Campers travel to activity periods by unit. What's a unit?
When you arrive at camp, you will be told what cabin to move your belongings into. You get to choose a bed and shelves, arrange your things, and your counselors will introduce you to your new cabinmates. A few cabins make up a “unit”, and we have six units at camp. Units are broken down by age, grade, and gender. Your unit will follow the same schedule during the day, eat in the same area of the dining hall for meals, and participate in Evening Activities together. Your cabin will have many different bonding activities unique to them depending on your counselors. Some cabins make a cabin sign each session, some read a book aloud before bed, some write letters to each other’s parents. The people in your cabin and unit are the ones who will become your lifelong friends--something special happens when you live together for two, four, six, or even eight weeks.
