RIDING CAMP LEVELS

LEVEL I:

This level is designed for campers with a love of horses but limited prior experience.  The teaching emphasis is on basic skills with all gaits.  Steering and control is stressed throughout the week.

LEVEL II:

This level is ideal for riders with some experience seeking to upgrade their horsemanship.  Ground poles, instruction for jumping positions and emergency dismounts are typical skills taught throughout the week.

LEVEL III:

These equestrians will sharpen their skills on both the flat and some work over cavalleti.  Balance, schooling without stirrups, and improving overall technique are emphasized in Level III.  Riders will receive some instruction in jumping.

SPECIAL EVENTS!!

Guest speakers, demonstrations, lectures, field trips, and other special events are scheduled throughout the summer.  The last day of each camp week features a mini-clinic involving all campers, giving their parents an opportunity to observe their child’s skills and progress.  A video is made for each camper over the course of the week so the total riding camp can be reviewed.
