PROGRAM |
Falcon Horse Lover
Camp program was developed to provide intensive instruction and positive
experiences with horses. Our objectives are to increase the campers
riding ability, knowledge, and to enhance their enjoyment of horses in a
safe, healthy environment. |
HORSES, HORSES,
HORSES is what you get
a Falcon Horse Lover Camp. From the first feeding in the morning until the
sun goes down at night, the focus is on horses. This unique program
provides each camper with their own horse for the week. The typical day
involves 3 to 4 hours of actual riding time. This time is divided between
group and individual lessons, trail rides and games. The remainder of the
day includes ground work, Horse Care and other activities around the
stables. We do find time each day to cool off with a swim down at the lake. |

RIDING STAFF |
Our staff members
have trained at equestrian colleges and with riding teams across the
United States, Europe, and in our own program. Staff members are
selected for their excellent teaching skills, combined with their
knowledge of horses and love of children. |
The consistency and
quality of the program is attributable to 15 years of careful
supervision by Director Emily Caswall Devey. Emily is a veteran
clinician with the Horsemanship Safety Association, training and
teaching certification courses to aspiring riding instructors. She has
ridden, shown, taught and judged horsemanship in a number of capacities
over the years. Her wealth of experience has helped make our program
one of the best in the Midwest. |
A very limited
enrollment allows us to properly match each camper with the appropriate
horse/pony. It also permits us to provide the individual instruction
and attention necessary to ensure a rewarding experience. Tuition for
camp includes the following: all in-camp activities, accommodations,
lessons, routine camp nursing, personal take-home riding video, and
Horse Lover camp t-shirt! |
